Social Worker, Whītiki Maurea Māori Mental Health & Addictions Services

 

‘As a Social Worker’ do you want to work in a dynamic mental health team?

 

At Whītiki Maurea Māori Mental Health & Addictions Services we provide specialist Mental Health & Addictions Services that works culturally and clinically in order to improve the health for Māori and their families.

 

This position is for Moko Māori Mental Health Team, a multi-disciplinary team providing assessment and planning processes that are informed by a Maori world view. We promote Te Reo Maori as an essential part of healing.  Preference will be given if you are experienced in the field of mental health. Evidence based social work practice to enhance the work with Māori.


A current Certificate of Competency Social Work Practice is required.

 

Knowledge or experience working with Māori or other indigenous cultures is an advantageous.  However, we also provide an environment to develop these attributes. To be involved in activity that enhances the welbeing of Māori. The ability to have excellent interpersonal skills and organise and prioritise your workload is essential.
